We are excited to share that from 5 January 2026, the Australian Government’s new 72-Hour CCS Program (4-Day Guarantee at Step Ahead ELC) will come into effect—and Step Ahead is fully prepared to support families from day one.
With 72 hours of subsidised care each fortnight, families can enjoy guaranteed access to 4 days of care per week at Step Ahead, providing greater flexibility and peace of mind. Even better, you can drop off and pick up your child anytime between 6:30am and 6:30pm, making it easier than ever to plan your day.
At Step Ahead, we are committed to supporting families by delivering high-quality early education with the flexibility and convenience you need.
All CCS-eligible families will receive at least 72 hours of subsidised childcare per fortnight, regardless of their work, study, or volunteering status.
Families may access up to 100 hours per fortnight if they work, study, train, or volunteer for 48 or more hours per fortnight, or hold a valid exemption. First Nations families will automatically receive 100 hours per fortnight.
